Tairee Dillard

Not Your Average Comic

Tairee Dillard doesn’t want to be put in a box, he may be a handicapped, black, comedian but to the surprise of his audiences, his comedy isn’t all about that. In fact, the best and most amazing thing to Tairee about stand up is that it’s a place where who you are, what you look like, or what you do doesn’t matter -- all that matters is if you’re funny or not.

And Tairee, is funny.

Since first taking the stage at the Denver Improv as a new comic in January, 2016, Tairee has performed well over 100 times since then and hosting shows around Denver and at the Improv for  the likes of Damon Williams, D’lai, Karlous Miller, T.K. Kirland and John Paul Morgan the “Ragin’ Cajun” and performing on showcases with JB Smoove, Scruncho, John Henton, Brandon T. Jackson, Jeff Dye, and Capone.

And while he was nervous the first time he performed, after that it gave him a sense of comfort. Tairee loves just making people laugh and helping them  forget what’s going “wrong” in their life for a moment.

Tairee not only performs at the Denver Improv, but shares his knowledge with other aspiring comics and recently taught a five-week course there for eight students, with 150 people attending the student showcase.

Admittedly, doing stand up comes with its own perks for Tairee -- the best moments from the past year include performing with J.B. Smoove, getting an audience to chant his name and being recognized by fans when not performing.

Tairee has high hopes for the future, with aspirations to headline and tour.
